Your kitchen is a space which should answer both to practicality as well as functionality. This is particularly when you consider the regularly increasing population and resultant constricting houses. This is all the more why you have to plan out a decent kitchen design which ensures convenience and keeps the oven burning.
Do not clutter your kitchen
One of the major problems you need to look out for in the kitchen is clutter. It is odd running into a train of utensils, cups and saucer just as you enter your kitchen. The usable and unusable items should have their space reserved (for that, full-wall cabinets is a novel idea). Your pantry, in all fairness, should give your neighbors a run for their money.
The smart kitchen theme
If you think flash, you should better think the kid’s room. Kitchen design, on the contrary, gets its due when done in neutral tones. White, beige, grey and nudes are the best options you can fish for. Yes, you can invite dash and spunk on the counter-top, lacy frills or even the pantry externals.
A deft arrangement
You can do well with a few little stools and a small circular table to entertain your kids. This way, you go through a genuine stress-busting session while cooking (it can get irritating otherwise) and the kids love getting a pre-taste of what they will have at lunch. You can also arrange for a reading session for them in the meanwhile that the pressure cooker simmers.
Keep the kitchen design simple
The best way to describe an efficient kitchen style is ‘easy on the eye’. At first look, your kitchen should seem an extension of your house, just as easy going and free of the mess that kitchens are envisioned to be. A pot plant in the corner, a few ceramic pieces, a decorated window or a smart montage on a wall just balances the equation.
Mind the connections
The plumbing and electrical connections should all be picture-perfect. There is a fridge, a microwave and a few other electrical appliances in your kitchen. Your dishwasher requires heated water in the winter and flying sparks may blow your fuse if you will. The sink should anyway be close to the cooking area so that you don’t have to labor to clean a few necessary utensils or draining cooked water.
Sliders save a lot of space and thus increase functionality of your kitchen. Of course, it all comes to a naught without one who operates the kitchen – you.
What sort of kitchen design do you like the most – traditional or modern?
