2014 should be a bright year for new residential construction; what with housing approvals reaching an unprecedented mark. In an article for the website realestate.com.au, Emma Sorensen talks about the buoyancy in the niche of detached houses and multi-unit dwellings.
Since bottoming out in 2012, residential constructions have looked up and approval rates have hiked in almost every state. Housing approvals are dishing out nearly 5.3% quarterly growth which is a good 0.7% higher than the average, says Sorensen.
Medium density housing and multi-unit dwellings are shaping up well and can give a run for its money to the detached houses (which traditionally do well).
