Riding the wave of substantial population growth, the housing demand in Australia continues to increase. Tim Lawless for the Property Update reports that the population grew as much as 1.75% in the last quarter of 2012.

Lawless points out that a vast number of new dwellings will have to be constructed to accommodate the ever increasing number of residents.
