Home builders influence a project’s success
I firmly believe that home builders have a very important role in ensuring the success of my projects. I tend to use a number of specific criteria in choosing the home builder I pair with.
The following are the things that I consider before I affirm partnership with a builder.
In a nutshell, a good home builder in Sydney and really anywhere should be: an adept builder, able to work well with my clients, able to maintain professionalism, and be family oriented.
Adept Home Builder
A good home builder is skilled and possess’ a high level of information in his line of work.He must have a good track record and knows what he is doing. There are a lot of home builders out there. For that reason I always keep a short list of the home builders I had the opportunity to work with before.
On my list of good home builder names are only professionals that have been tried out, investigated, and have proven themselves.
Works Well with Clients
About 70% of the time, my clients choose their own home builders. If my clients don’t have a personal choice and are just open to ideas, then I pull out my short-list. The home builder and the client must be within the same wavelength and both their ideas are presented on the table upon the start of negotiations.
Home builders provide their price. If the price is too high or way too low, I typically intervene and suggest to choose a more suitable home builder.
A good relationship between my clients and the home builder must be established from day one.
Able to Maintain Professionalism
I really like working with a home builder who can maintain professionalism with me and most especially with my clients. Working in the area from 8-4 pm and still able to retain poise, energy level, and communication skills with co-workers and the family is really appreciated. Professional home builders should look after the premises at all times and keep cleaning up after themselves.
Family-oriented Home Builder
The home builder and his employees will be working with the family and within the family’s premises all of the time. Thus, it is very important for the workers to be able to understand and and work within the household routines and activities while accomplishing their tasks.
Workers must be family people to be able to understand the roaming kids and the messy pets and work around such distractions while promoting safety in the workplace.
